Episode 21 - Evelia Aguirre Torres

I’m so excited for this next interview with Evelia owner of De Mi Tierra. She Spilled ALL. THE. TEA. when it comes to the cosmetic industry. Evelia has been in the industry for over 15 years, and when she was pregnant she decided to take a stand and develop products that she could trust and knew that would be nourishing to her body.

About De Mi Tierra:
"Her company, De Mi Tierra is Spanish for “From My Earth”, because she believes that skin, bath and beauty products should be as nature intended them to be...100% Natural, Simple and Organic. All of their products are handcrafted in small batches with natural earth made ingredients, organic, unrefined plant oils, butters, and clays and absolutely no animal derived ingredients. Only organic therapeutic grade essential oils are infused in all of our products each benefiting the mind, body and spirit. They hope to transform your home and skin…one small batch at a time!"

I’m thankful that she shared her story because I’m sure many others including myself can relate to wanting to be better advocates for ourselves when it comes I’m so glad to have had this conversation in person especially because we got to talk through her actual products there at the end.

But as you heard, I was SHOCKED by so many things that she talked about especially when it came to the realities of the cosmetic industry. I hope you’re inspired to take small steps toward taking a look at the products you use on a day to day basis especially so we can teach our kids how to be mindful about what they put on their bodies. Ugh, so GOOD. And I will share, that I have purchased the deodorant since and will be making the switch to a natural deodorant.
